What Happens Next

I review your enquiry, look at the market and current situation, then suggest the most useful next step. The aim is to make the first conversation practical rather than turn it into a sales pitch.

Before We Speak

A productive first conversation does not need a polished brief. These are the practical things that help us quickly understand your goals, the right scope of work and what a sensible next step looks like.

Start With the Business Goal

The most useful first conversation is not about a particular marketing channel. It is about what you want the business to achieve. You may need more qualified enquiries, stronger visibility in a specific market, a better-performing website, lower paid acquisition costs or a clearer digital strategy across several channels. Sharing that context helps me understand the problem before recommending a solution. If you already have analytics, campaign data or examples of competitors you admire, those can be useful, but you do not need to prepare a formal brief before getting in touch.

I work across SEO, Google Ads, social media management, website design and broader digital marketing strategy. Projects can focus on one specialist area or connect several services where the customer journey requires it. I also work with businesses targeting Australia, Thailand, Southeast Asia and Europe, so our discussion can include local market priorities, international expansion or the way different regional campaigns should fit together. The objective of the initial conversation is to identify where the greatest opportunity or friction currently sits.

The first discussion is an opportunity to understand fit on both sides. I will ask about your customers, current marketing, commercial priorities, timelines and any constraints that could affect the work. I will also explain how I would approach the problem and what information would be needed to move forward. There is no benefit in making a simple situation sound complicated. If the best next step is a focused audit, a campaign rebuild, a new landing page or a broader strategy, I will tell you that directly.

My client work can span Australia, Thailand, Southeast Asia and Europe. Virtual meetings make it practical to collaborate across time zones, while in-person meetings may be possible depending on location and project requirements. Clear communication is important in international work, so actions, priorities and responsibilities are kept explicit. Whether you are an Australian business looking for local growth or an international company entering APAC, the process is designed to keep decision-making straightforward.

You do not need a perfect brief before contacting me, but a few details can make the first discussion more productive. It helps to know the main service or product you want to grow, the countries or regions that matter, the approximate role digital marketing currently plays in generating business and what you feel is not working. If you are already running Google Ads, SEO or social campaigns, you can mention the approximate level of activity and whether tracking is in place. If the project is a website, tell me whether you are improving an existing site or planning something new. Timelines and internal resources are useful too. None of this needs to be polished. The purpose is simply to establish context so we can spend the conversation on the decisions that matter. I am also happy to hear from businesses that are unsure which channel is the problem. Sometimes the issue that appears to be advertising is actually a landing-page problem, and sometimes a website redesign is unnecessary when clearer content and stronger traffic acquisition would make a larger difference. Starting with the business objective gives us the best chance of identifying the right work.

After receiving your enquiry, I will review the information you provide and respond with the most relevant next step. For a defined project, that may be a short discovery call followed by a scope. For a more complex situation, we may first need to review existing campaigns, analytics or website performance. I do not believe in prescribing a large package before understanding the problem. The aim is to create enough clarity to decide what should happen next, what success should look like and whether I am the right person to help.
